Basic point I: Environmental parameters

Environmental parameters are the ambient temperature, humidity, rapid temperature changes, atmospheric pressure and corrosive environment. Connector in use and storage, transportation process in the environment has a significant impact on its performance, so the actual environmental conditions must be based on the selection of the corresponding connector. Rapid changes in temperature may make the insulation material cracking or layer, so the humidity must be rapid change test, simulating the use of connector equipment in the cold environment into the warm environment of the actual use of the situation. Basic point two: the connection method

The main connection methods are threaded connection, bayonet connection and poppet connection.

1. Threaded connection has the advantages of simple processing, low manufacturing costs, wide range of applications, but the connection speed is slow and not suitable for frequent plugging and fast connection occasions.

2. Bayonet type connection is more complex and costly to manufacture.

3. Bullet type connection is the fastest connection speed of the three connection methods, it does not require rotary movement, only linear movement to achieve the function of connection, separation and locking.

Basic point three: the end connection method

The end connection method refers to the connector contact pair and the way the wire or cable is connected. Reasonable choice of termination methods and the correct use of termination techniques, but also the use and selection of quality connectors is an important aspect. Specifically, divided into the following four types;

1. Solder connection is most important is the continuity of the metal that should be formed between the solder material and the surface to be soldered. Therefore it is important for a quality connector to be solderable. Wrap-around connection is to wrap the wire directly around the pronged contact piece winding post.

2. Winding, where the wire is wound under controlled tension, pressed into and secured to the angles of the contact winding post to create a gas-tight contact.

3. Crimping is a technique used to compress and displace the metal within specified limits and connect the wire to the contact pair. A good crimp connection produces a mutual fusion flow of metal, so that the wire and contact pair material is symmetrically deformed.

4. Screw connection is the use of screw-type terminal connections, pay attention to the maximum and minimum cross-section of the wire allowed to be connected and the maximum tightening torque allowed for different sizes of screws.
